Lathe-turned hardwood Standgefäß, likely Central European, 18th–19th century. Turned wooden drug jars were standard pharmacy storage vessels in Central Europe from the 17th through 19th centuries. Larger containers held bulk powders, herbs, or roots. Likely produced by a local Drechsler (turner) for an individual pharmacy.
